The Han Solo movie continues to be the subject of much controversy following the firing of it’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller over what has been dubbed ‘creative differences.’

Recent reports have uncovered that the directing pair favoured an improvisational and adaptable style over the rigid schedule demanded by Lucasfilm but the specifics remained vague until recently.

An E!Scoop journalist uncovered an internal e-mail from Kathleen Kennedy stating

“…they’re insisting on keeping the Carellia change, the new locations are way over budget…mentioned recasting again.”

Fans immediately made the connection with Han Solo’s homeworld, when questioned Lord and Miller were quick to confirm their intended change.

“Yes, it’s Carellia. We re-watched A New Hope over and over and that’s how it sounds to us. One we had an idea of what Carellia was it inspired changes, we wanted the Carellians to have a standout role in the film but it wasn’t to be.”

This remark sparked an outcry among loyal fans gaining another response

“Oh come on, we only changed one letter. Things get changed all the time in Star Wars, I mean – Moraband, seriously? What we did is just minor compared to that.”

So far Lucasfilm and Kennedy have declined to respond. When asked about the details new director Ron Howard commented

“Sounds like Corellia to me.”
