Urgoth were once the dominant species of Coda, spreading across the world and enslaving humans. Only when Helena Tarsis founded the Legion of Dawn and the first Javelins were built was humanity able to rise up and overthrow their oppressors. Long thought extinct, an Urgoth was encountered by Sentinels shortly after the Heart of Rage cataclysm was silenced, raising concerns the species may be on the rise again and planning an attack on humanity.
I finished the main campaign of Anthem and this species was introduced in a post-credits scene. It’s a shame this story didn’t get to continue as I’ve really enjoyed playing the game.
